Vayetze – Weekly Torah Portion

A dream – isn’t loosing track, but rather a possible sanctification of hope.

The dream is the hope of the awakening, being able to wake up to the presence of revelation – not in full consciousness. The dream of Jacob is that of the ladder. One has to go up, in order to bring blessing into the life. Giving up the sense of reality, as it has been perceived by him (State of sleep), and allow the spirit to sore up.

It is said, in a true state – when the point in the heart is awakened – the spirit goes up to the source. This speaks of the person who is with the intention of creation. The intention is expressed through the language of the dream, when each person becomes a ladder of forces and messages of going up – what is going in the way of MAN (need), and what goes down (The ability to nourish the spirit for its continuation of work).
What allows a spirit to sore, its when the prayer is not for personal use. This means – when Jacob goes out, he doesn’t go for himself. He is choosing to go the Haran – a place where there are sparks of spirit to be saved. Only because he is goin there, to establish the template of Tikun for all spirits – Israel, then the revelations (Even in exile), could appear to him.

When it is said that Jacob left Beer Sheva, he came upon a place – Zohar says this place is the Vacant Space. Why is there a vacant space, and why was it created? So that humans can choose without the pressure of light. There is a bubble that allows them to recognize the state of separateness, and to choose what they wish to allow in
